COMPOSER

• Composing and arranging music was since the beginning way back to school/college always a part of my playing
• It seems to strengthen the understanding and many aspects of the music
• Here below you'll find some of my remarkable works

ORIGINALS

Hundreds of pieces melody/harmony for small group or specific for 1-4 double basses
A few larger compositons for orchestras/soloist or choir - see the sheets and/or listen to the works

HEPTOMANIA
KAMPGUDERNE

KAMPGUDERNE

This work is 6:30 and has no improvised parts. It was originally written for Esbjerg Ensemble and later on re-arranged for small big band.

It is unique in the form of the growing intensity all through the piece except of a little theme/structure presentation in the beginning.

It has unfortunately never been performed.

ARRANGEMENTS

An on going passion of arranging or re-arranging music has made a huge collection.
Often special harmonies and added voices to jazz standards and Danish folk songs.

CARL NIELSEN

CARL NIELSEN

One of Denmark's greatest composers, Carl Nielsen (1865-1931) for two basses.
Each song is presented in tablature and music sheet - Bass 1 and 2. The tablature indicates left hand movements, fingerings and string.
Forms can be opened up for repeating and improvising, switching Bass 1 and 2, making intros/outros, simplifying or stretching the form etc. - feel free in the spirit.
All music arranged by Jimmi Roger Pedersen
